1611 Bible (KJV) App Reviews

This is not a true version of the 1611. More like the 1768 version.

What is the point of having the 1611 with out having an apocrypha that means its not a 1611 edition the apocrypha was barely removed in 1885 so why wouldnt you just call it a KJV. This app makes no since because its not a 1611 edition it still has js in it and other letters that were not in the alphabet yet as well as NOT HAVING THE APOCRYPHA.

It is a decent Bible App w/o all the bells and whistles. It looks nice. But I was disappointed because it is not a 1611 version like it says. I had downloaded it hoping it was a 1611 because i have a hard copy and find it interesting to compare it with my normal KJV. I should have read the reviews, but It is free.

the only one I trust for Gods Word and only has the books from God nothing else. You can search as well for quick reference.

FYI, if the letter "J" is used in this version of the Bible, it is NOT the King James version of the Bible of 1611...do some research before you attempt to dispute my claim. FACT: The letter "J" was invented in the early 1600s by Gian Giorgio Trissino and was not phycially PUBLISHED in ANY BOOK until 1634. Research it. Therefore....who came up with the name Jesus? The Bible says the most highs name is Yashua. Come on people....

This App kept cutting out on me. I deleted it and reinstalled it, yet only to have same issue. Ill stick with my ESV App. FYI: Yashua (is a made up name), Jesus/Joshua (Old English), Iesus (Latin), Iesous (Greek), Yeshua/Yeshu (Hebrew) (H3442) and are the shortened form of Yehoshua (Hebrew) (H3091) meaning "Yahweh is salvation".

This is a bit of false advertising. This translation is definitely NOT the original 1611 KJV! The language has been modernized, and they left out the apocrypha (yes, the original Authorized Version had the apocrypha!).

I tried reading many bible apps and find myself now only reading this app. I like the bookmarks of this app, it allows me to return to any verse that I read. This is very helpful during my bible study classes. I like the page color and text, it makes me feel like Im reading an ancient book and not just a computer. I do have a request however, I would love for this app to have some sought of notebook log organizer as Im reading. I find myself switching back and forth between different apps in order to track and write my thoughts as I read this bible. I also wish there was highlights, and maybe even a completion TAB that checks off chapters I read already, that allows me to see unfinished chapters that need to be read. But dont worry, I love this app enough to make it my goal to read the entire bible from this app alone. This is a awesome app for those who love reading the bible as I do. Common , simple , straight to the point. Gods preserved words in English . Greatest and most valuable information that could be put into a phone. Easy to use , good search feature for looking up unknown verses with just a phrase . Good study tool, i use it teaching to find verses very quickly. Thank you!

Perfect. The apocrypha is not there because God didnt want it there. Enough said.

I love this app. Its a great and easy to use Bible. Plus Im a KJV only kind of guy so its a blessing to have this still around.

Well designed app

Not a true 1611

This isnt a true 1611 version and needs to be re-done truthfully. There are missing books such as Hebrews etc. Do your due diligence!

The description for this app is rather clear. There are no claims to being the original 1611. None of us could read the type of print from that time period anyway. It also states there is no apocrypha so why act so surprised that there is no apocrypha. It is just plain and simple without commentaries and a bunch of other unnecessary stuff.

Its amazing! Keep upgrading it and making it look better and easier to use! Dont give up ! -I would love red lettering! -I would love larger break space between paragraphs!

This it not the 1611. It is the KJV. But not 1611. Making it a little more fancy looking doesnt make it 1611. And I dont mean the fact that its not in Gothic font. I mean the format, and the spelling of the time.
